What is Shungite?
I first bumped into shungite while I was out with my mom, we drove about an hour to arrive at an adorable bookstore over looking the pacific ocean at Whiterock British Columbia Canada. Much more than just a book store, I had walked by it more than once while on a date with some forgettable person I'm sad to say. That curious store front though, packed with pocket crystals, singing bowls, orgonite pyramids and so much more left an impression on me. I was cashing out when I noticed this rather dull simple bracelet of matte black nuggets, I had to inquire. The shop keeper tells me it's Shungite, only comes from Russia, and it's quite new, offers shielding from EMF.. I bought the bracelet and wore it, I still have it some where. But I'm not a bracelet person, I prefer pendants. Now I looked around for a bit and there was nothing in my price range. So I ordered a pound of raw shungite straight from the Zazhoginsky mine.
