Shungite at first glance is nothing to gawk at, polishing it does not do it justice. It's best viewed in its raw form. I took the time to clean and really look at some of these stones and fell in love.
I've only seen a little bit of this lovely golden fleck in the shungite I work with, it usually runs with a thin vein of quartz. It does add immensely to the overall character of any piece. I classify my rocks into usable groups, the long narrow and tear drop or tooth shaped stones wrap the best and sell. Smaller stones work well in combination with more crystals. The remaining flakes and bits will be used in Orgone and Orgonite creations, something I'm looking forward to doing this summer. Don't worry I will take pictures and there may even be video.
