I washed the rough shungite in warm water with colloidal silver solution. Set them in the sun for an afternoon. Spent time touching the chosen stones to wrap in copper. It's amazing how much character these matte black rocks have. Interesting facts about Shungite

I find shungite very interesting, it appears to be a very strong mineral, not hard. When it finally breaks, you can see tiny raised ridges all flowing in what's best described as organic in resemblance. Depending on the grade of stone, thin veins of quartz and pyrite appear and cause the stone to break along those points firstly. When I get a batch of stone like this, it's hard to tell what rocks will make the cut and which will go to water filtration. I wash them outside in bright light, and sun then repeatedly. By this time I can start to see some detail and I will tentatively line them up on a separate tray.
